
Marion Guidry Watson , aged 84, passed away at her home, after a courageous 7 year battle with Alzheimer's. She went to the Lord on December 25, 2015, surrounded by loved ones and is now celebrating the birth of Christ in Heaven. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She graduated from Baton Rouge High school. She loved going to and watching LSU baseball and football. She loved animals and children, and ran a daycare out of her home for years. She was a born-again Christian and loved attending church. Animals and anything the color pink were among her favorite things. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 1:00pm until funeral services in the chapel at 3:00pm officiated by Rev. James "Jimmy" Womack. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Watson; her parents Jules and Ella Guidry; brothers Jules Edward And Leonard Guidry; sister Gloria Babin. She is survived by son, Gary M. Watson (wife Cathy Watson) and daughter, Carolyn A. Watson. She is also survived by three grandsons, Jeffrey Watson (wife Candace), Benjamin Watson, and Daniel Watson; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her well-loved maltipoo, Baby, who gave her comfort and companionship in her last years. Special thanks to Cardinal Hospice for their loving care, especially to Melissa, Nikka, Lorraine, and Cheryl. Also thanks to her niece, Susan Watson, for the loving care she gave her aunt.
