
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she died Thursday, July 22, 2010, at her home in Prairieville, surrounded by her family and our angel, Jessie Easley. She was 92, a native of Erwinville and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge and Prairieville. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, July 26, from 9 a.m. until the religious service at 1 p.m., with a recitation of the rosary at 9 a.m. Entombment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Pourciau and Catherine Soileau; three sons, William "Boy" Vessier, Donald Vessier and wife Jonell, and Bruce Vessier and wife Rachel; grandchildren, Lorie Hebert and husband Brett, Kathy Pourciau, Kim Collier and husband Anthony, Donnice MacDonald and husband Dan, Dionne Vessier and fiancé David Duncan, Christal Woodson and husband Michael "TiJoe," Landon Vessier and wife Shannon, and Jayce Vessier and wife Ashley; sisters, Doll Ragusa and Gloria Rinaudo; brothers, Hillary Goudeau and Kirby Goudeau; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Bill Vessier; parents, Joseph and Anita Goudeau; brothers, Nat Goudeau, Lester Goudeau, Bobby James Goudeau and Willie Goudeau; a sister, Gracie Vessier; a son-in-law, Arthur Pourciau; and her precious granddaughter, Rose Anzalone. She was a longtime member of St Gerard Majella Catholic Church. She left this earth to return to all of our family in heaven. We have been so blessed with her strength and love. >
