Marjorie Burt Harris, 81, a native of Shreveport and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013. A loving mother and devoted family woman, Marjorie was a graduate of Bossier High School, a 45 year employee with BellSouth and a lifetime member of the Pioneers. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children: Charles F. "Chuck" Harris and wife Paula, Bridgette H. Whitney and husband Perry, and Fay C. Harris, Jr. She is preceded in death by her husband Fay C. Harris, Sr.; parents Chester and Clovis Burt; and sister Mildred Patterson. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 5pm until 9pm and continuing on Friday, March 1, 2013 from 8am until time of service at noon.
