
A native of Swedesboro, N.J., and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 11:42 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, at Williamsburg Retirement Community. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Sept. 1, was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting at Broadmoor Presbyterian Church, 9340 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, Sept. 2, from 12:30 p.m. until religious service at 1:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Hawley Wolfe. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Georgia and David Ford, Baton Rouge; grandson, Greg Ford, Baton Rouge; nephew, David O. Hunt, of Pennsylvania; three brothers-in-law, Bill Sanders, John Sanders and Jerry Sanders, all of Arkansas; and dear friend, Mildred Dodson, of Baton Rouge. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack O. Sanders; parents, Mary and H.B. Hunt; and brother, Oram Hunt. She was a member of Broadmoor Presbyterian Church, PEO Chapter AC, Thalians Book Club and was a graduate of LSU, where she was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. Marjorie was generous with her time and talents in serving others. She was an avid baseball fan and a passionate bingo player. Memorial donations are requested to Broadmoor Presbyterian Church, St. Joseph Hospice or a charity of choice.
