Preceded in death by his father, Marshall Goodwin Pruyn Jr. and his mother, Mary Aime Pruyn, granddaughter, Jadie Nikole Pruyn, and grandson Daniel Christopher Pruyn. Marshall is survived by his wife of 54 years, Catherine "Kitty" Turner Pruyn, his sons Marshall Scott Pruyn and wife Dawn Morvant Pruyn of New Caney, Texas, Eugene Christopher Pruyn and wife Wendy Steinle Pruyn of Park City, Utah, and Robert Kurt Pruyn and wife Amy Browning Pruyn of Greenwell Springs, Louisiana, and his sister, Doris Pruyn McGehee. Marshall was born in Baton Rouge, LA in 1945. He served our country in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. He worked for Exxon Corporation for most of his adult life, retiring after 35 years of service. He was a lifelong outdoor enthusiast who loved to hunt and fish, especially with his sons and grandchildren. Marshall was always quick to encourage others with words and a hug and was always thankful for the beauty of God's world and the love and care of those around him. He was generous with his time and talents in serving others. He loved to tell stories, and he loved to laugh. He lived by simple principles like "Leave it better than you found it" and for those lives he touched; those words ring true. He will be greatly missed. Special thanks to Bernice and Joyce at St. Joseph Hospice and Kae for their special care during his final weeks. Private arrangements are being planned for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Alzheimer's Association, St. Joseph's Hospice Care, or another charity of your choice.
