Martha L Boesch

Martha Lucille Boesch was born at Baton Rouge General Hospital, in Baton Rouge, LA to the late John and Lois Boesch. She was raised on Evangeline Street until she graduated from Istrouma High School in Baton Rouge, LA in 1968. Martha was among some of her early engineers working with computers in their infancy. In one of her early positions with a bank, she won a Camaro because of her hard work and dedication.

She moved to Washington DC working with the FBI in their Identification Security Services for roughly a year. She then moved back to Baton Rouge, where she started her career with Anadarko, which brought her to Houston, TX in 1972. She continued through numerous positions until her retirement in 2015.

Martha enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques, sewing, traveling to new places, and an avid reader of Stephen King and Anne Rice.

She is survived by her sister, Linda Boesch Breitling and brother-in-law, James A. Breitling; her nephews, Brian Boesch (Bernadette) and their children Ian and Ruby, Brett Boesch (Tina) and their children Lois, Micah and Naomi, Kevin Boesch (Elizabeth) and their children Chloe and Max, and Andrew Breitling (Brianne) and their daughter Abigail; her niece, Lauren Breitling; her dear neighbors and friends, Amanda, Dawn Marie, Jennifer, Lisa J. and Lisa S.; and her 10 year old long-haired orange tabby, Petey.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, John R. Boesch; sister-in-law, Lynn S. Boesch; long time friend, Charles Taylor; and her beloved fur babies, Bogie, Gracie, Boots, Mandy and Abbey.

A visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, La 70815, on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 1 pm until funeral services at 2 pm, officiated by her nephew, Brett.
