Completed his journey here at 4 AM on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at his home. Native and resident of Baton Rouge, he founded Martin L. Johnson Service Company Heating and Air since 1969. He was honored to serve in the US Marine Corp. He is survived by his wife, Helene K. Meyer; children, Martin Johnson Jr, Sharon and Kenny Denham, Johnny and Edana Johnson, Maranda and Jason Howell, Kate and Eric Shanks; 15 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Stancy and Betty Johnson; sister, Nora Fisher. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Marie Rinaudo Johnson; son, Anthony Johnson; daughter, Donna Melton; brother, Felix Johnson and sister, Mary Cook. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 5:30 PM until 9 PM and will resume on Thursday, August 20, 2015, from 11 AM until funeral service at 12 PM. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Military graveside services to be conducted by the US Marine Corp Reserve and Marine Corp League.
