Marvin Ray Garrene III, 49, of Central, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. He was a native of Baton Rouge and graduate of Glen Oaks High School in 1980. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct. 20, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes at the funeral home Friday, Oct. 21, from 8 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., conducted by Brother Jim Efferson. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by his wife, Debbie Garrene; father and mother, Marvin "Sonny" Jr. and Mary Claire Garrene; daughter, Macey Garrene; two stepdaughters, Mindy Pickering and Lacey Gill; stepson, Dustin Gill; two sisters, Renee Gibbs and husband Greg, and Rhonda Hall and husband J.D.; and four stepgrandchildren. Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Christian Dietrich; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin and Viola Garrene.
