Mary Keenan Allen

Beloved mother, grandmother, MeMaw, MeMe and sister, she died Monday, July 4, 2011, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice after a brief illness. She is survived by her daughter, Francine A. Lewis and husband Bill, of Central; daughter-in-law, Jeannie Allen, of Temple, Texas; sister, Wilma K. Carney, of Muncie, Ind.; grandchildren, Tina L. Martin and husband Greg, Andrea Allen, Nicole Allen, and William Anderson Allen III and wife Ginger; great-grandchildren, Corey Martin, Blake Martin and fiancée Lindsey McKey, Heather L. Rich and husband Klayton, Dara Martin, Lacy Martin and Joni, Phoebe, Samantha and William Anderson Allen IV; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, J.C. "Charlie" and Emma Elizabeth Thompson Keenan; husband, William Anderson "Anse" Allen Sr.; infant son; son, William Anderson "Andy" Allen, Jr.; grandson, Ty A. Lewis; brothers, Jim, Bud, Lamar, Harold and Pat Keenan; and sisters, Louvene K. Koons, Anna Rose K. Cline and Olive Mae Keenan. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd., Friday, July 8, from 4 p.m. until religious service at 7 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Tommy Bergeron. Graveside service in Wesson, Miss., will be private.
