Mary Ann Lyle Sanford was born September 30, 1924, and died November 24, 2013, with her daughter at her side. She was the daughter of the late James H. Lyle and the late Mary Florence Williams. She was a native of Memphis, Tennessee, a former resident of New Orleans and a resident of Baton Rouge since 1955. Pre-deceased by husband, Kiley M. Sanford, Jr. Survived by one daughter, Deborah Ann Sanford and "adopted daughter" Julie T. Valentine of Baton Rouge. Also survived by a sister, Jane Lyle Fox of Baton Rouge and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a very special former son-in-law Michael Sorel and wife Debra. She was a retired Chief Deputy Clerk of the U. S. District Court, a member of the Baton Rouge Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, The Colonial Dames, and St. Luke's Episcopal Church. She was a bridge life master and member of the Baton Rouge Bridge Club.
