She was a homemaker, a native of Cleveland and a resident of Livingston. Mary died at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, at The Carpenter House at age 86. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, Jan. 25, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation resumes on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 10 a.m., conducted by Deacon Brent Duplessis. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by a daughter, Patricia Banta Williams and husband George; son, George L. Banta and wife Bonnie; sister, Rita Sadlek; five grandchildren, Kelly Kofton, Carrie Mix, Lance Williams, Emily Decker and Burton Banta IV; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Burton J. Banta Jr.; parents, George M. and Anna Sansberry Schulte; and son, Burton J. Banta III. >
