A resident of Baton Rouge, she died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at 11 p.m. Born Nov. 11, 1941, in New Orleans, she was 67. Survived by a sister, Wilma Achee; also five children, Wendy Bennett Giraldo, Kenneth Bennett, John Bennett, Sandra Briggs, Patricia Martin; stepdaughter, Lindsay Bennett; six grandchildren, Jessica and Jodi Bennett, Melody Bennett, Corey Giraldo, Alex and Scarlet Martin. Preceded in death by her parents, George and Josephine Achee; sisters, Mildred Gerald, Gloria May and Josie Achee; and daughter-in-law, Harrilyn Bennett. Visiting at Saint Louis King of France Catholic Church, 2121 N. Sherwood Forest Blvd., Thursday, Sept. 17, from 10 a.m. until Mass at noon. Interment at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
