Mary “Elaine” Vidrine Black passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at the age of 83. She was a native of Brookhaven, MS and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA. After 34 years of service, Elaine retired from South Central Bell. She was an avid fan of LSU sports and was a member of Zachary Church of Christ. Elaine is survived by her sons, Steve Vidrine (Phyllis), Jimmy Vidrine (Janet) and Terry Vidrine (Mimi); grandchildren, Jarred Vidrine (Jessica), Elaine Duke (Michael), Brett Vidrine, Chance and Landon Vidrine; great-grandchildren, Gus and AJ Vidrine; sister, Nancy Landry (Wayne); and a host of other loving family members. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Ronald Vidrine and Cloy Black; parents, Jim and Grace Allen; and siblings, Pete and L.J. Allen. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, from 9:00am until the time of funeral services at 11:00am.
