
A retired pension administrator with DSM-Copolymer with 38 years of service, she died at 3:05 p.m.Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet. She was 73, a native of East Baton Rouge Parish and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Feb. 13, was from 5 p.m.to 8 p.m.Visiting resumes at the funeral home Wednesday, Feb. 14, from 8 a.m.until religious service in the chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by Dr. Terry Booth. Interment inResthavenGardensof Memory. She is survived by a sister, Olivia "Jeannie" Diamond and husband C.R. "Johnny" Diamond; a brother, John Vuron Kelley Jr. and wife Yvonne; nieces, Erin Diamond Lowrey and Shannon Kelley Johnson; nephews, John O. and Jason M. Kelley, Jeffrey D. Diamond and Darrell LaBauve; a great-niece and numerous great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Purvis Martin "P.M." Corkern; and parents, John V. Sr. and Mary Eddards Kelley. Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Diamond, John O. and Jason M. Kelley, Jacob and Joseph LaBauve and Cody Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Wayne Reeves and Darrell B. LaBauve. She was a member ofAmiteBaptistChurch. Her talent for writing and her unique wit were shown in various local publications. Her fierce loyalty to those she loved, and her open and compassionate heart, have helped change many lives throughout the years. Libby will be loved and remembered by her family and many friends whom she considered to be blessings in her life. In truth, it was Libby who was a blessing in ours.
