II Timothy 4:7-I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith. Mary Nelle Gehle, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at her home on July 5, 2022. She was 93, a native of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and a resident of Central, Louisiana. She was a retired schoolboard warehouse clerk. Visitation will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church (3701 Jones Creek Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70816) on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 9am until 11am. Services will begin at 11am followed by a brief reception in the church hall, concluding with a graveside service and burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Baker, LA. Services will be conducted by Pastor Brandon Bernard. Mrs. Gehle is survived by her daughters, Alsia Denise Hoffman (Tim), Barbara Ann Brister (Daryl); grandsons, Marx Wayne Hoffman, Kurt Edward Hoffman (Crystal), Timothy Craig Hoffman, Brenton Wayne Brister (Ann), Ethan Joel Brister (Mariah), 5 great-grandchildren and sister, Joy Vick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Gehle, son, Richard M. Gehle, parents, General Adlie McAlister and Nelle Powell McAlister, brother, Nathan McAlister and sisters Erma Powell and Thelma Parker. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mrs. Gehle’s honor to the Westminster Presbyterian Church where she was a longtime member. Rabenhorst Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
