
A native ofVicksburg, Miss., and a resident of Baton Rouge, she passed away Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at her home at the age of 82. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Cedars Club of Baton Rouge and UCT Ladies Club. She is survived by a daughter, Janet Gleason Ballow and husband Ed of Denham Springs; three sons, James William Gleason Sr. and wife Shelly, and David Charles Gleason and wife Laura, all of Baton Rouge, and Dr. John Richard Gleason and wife Robin of Atlanta; a sister, Martha George of Luxora, Ark.; 11 grandchildren, David, Daniel and Ellen Ballow, and Keith, James, Jeffrey, Kenneth, Erin, Susannah, Justin and Lauren Gleason. She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Gleason; parents, Arthur F. and Mamie Hadad; a brother, Johnnie Hadad; and a sister, Louise Anderton. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, Feb. 14, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting at Pope Hall at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 8833 Goodwood Blvd., on Thursday, Feb. 15, from 10 a.m. until Mass at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Ernest Saik, celebrant. Interment will follow inResthavenGardensof Memory with Daniel and David Ballow, James, Jeffrey, Keith and Kenneth Gleason, Don George and Buck Copeland serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are members of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Cedars Club of Baton Rouge and members of UCT.
