Mary Jane Langlois Lavigne, 90, was born in New Roads, LA, on January 10, 1932. She grew up in Baton Rouge and resided in Denham Springs when she passed away on July 1, 2022. In her earlier years, Mary Jane was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Altar Society of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, and was presently a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mary Jane was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a humble and faithful servant to God and had great love for Jesus and His mother, Mary. She never let a day go by without praying and interceding for all souls, especially for the lost and for her family. Mary Jane is survived by her sons, Don Lavigne Jr (Raylene) and Daryl Lavigne (Kelli); daughter, Cheri Berthelot (Lionel); grandchildren, Joshua and Zachary Lavigne, Jaceden Wallick, Ashley Lavigne Scelfo, Adam and Ryan Lavigne, Shelby West Lavigne, Landon Lavigne Abshire, Hunter and Taylor Pickard, Brandon Berthelot; 17 great grandchildren; sister, Joy Mayers, and sister-in-law, Norma Langlois. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Donald Lavigne Sr; parents, Lloyd and Naomi Langlois; brother, L.J. Langlois; sister, Sadie Cutchens; daughter, Carolyne Stevens; and grandson, Jeremy Berthelot. A visitation for Mary Jane will be held on Friday, July 8, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at noon, conducted by Father Matthew Graham. Entombment will follow at Greenoaks Mausoleum. Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Berthelot, Adam, Joshua, Ryan, and Zachary Lavigne, and Hunter Pickard. Honorary pallbearers are Jaceden Wallick and Luke Berthelot.
