Mary Helen Wooten Jones

A loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother she died Monday, April 12, 2010, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was born June 12, 1925, in Lucien, Miss., and a resident of Baton Rouge. She was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Thursday, April 15, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting continues at Broadmoor United Methodist Church on Friday, April 16, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., officiated by the Rev. Lee Allen. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Todd Drummond, Alex Hertzog, Oliver Hertzog, Bill Rizzuto, John Rizzuto, Edward Jones and Dennis Hertzog. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Drummond and husband Don Drummond; son, Charles "Bo" Jones and wife Mary Lynn Jones; and two grandchildren, Todd Drummond and spouse Tracy Drummond, and Ashley Hertzog and spouse Oliver Hertzog. She was the proud great-grandmother of six grandchildren, Eric and Andrew Drummond and Alex, Dylan, Jordan and Sydney Hertzog. She is also survived by a sister, Evelyn Rizzuto. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calep and Alyne Wooten; sister, Patsy Ruth Wooten; and husband, Charles "Tony" Jones. She will always be remembered by her family and friends for giving more than she received.
