Mary Kathleen “Kathy” Carbo, resident of Denham Springs, passed peacefully at her home after her long and courageous battle with cancer on May 12, 2016 at the age of 66. She enjoyed many hobbies which included traveling, gardening, bowling, fishing, car shows and loved to spend time with family and friends, especially grandchildren. She was survived by her husband of 50 years, Clarence Carbo Jr.; daughter Melissa C. Thompson and husband Doug; son Troy W. Carbo and wife Jeanne; grandchildren Dylan Carbo, Brayden Thompson, Leah Thompson, and Darian Reed; sisters Jackie Barbin and Debbie Dominick. She was preceded in death by her parents Jack Turner and Bernice Arnold, and her sister Gloria Daigle. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on May 14, 2016 at 9:00am until service time at 2:00pm. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Dylan Carbo, Brayden Thompson, Doug Thompson, Jacob Thompson, LeRoy Johnston, and Blake Posey. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph Hospice and the physicians and staff of Ochsner.
