

Mary Lou Perkins Loechelt, 80, of Baton Rouge, passed away on Monday, February 02, 2015. Mary Lou was born in 1935 to William Harry and Charlotte Krieger Perkins. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a graduate of Baton Rouge High and also received a BA from Vanderbilt, where she met her loving husband. She was a longtime member of Krewe Mystique, a member of Entre Nous Dance Club, a volunteer for the Arthritis Foundation, and a volunteer at the LSU Bookbarn. Mary Lou enjoyed spending time with her family and singing to her grandchildren. She is survived by her two daughters, Lynn Loechelt Broussard and husband Charles, and Kathryn Loechelt Honeycutt; one son, Cecil Paul Loechelt, II; five grandchildren, Kaylie Mitchell and husband Chad, Brad and Madeline Broussard, and Victoria and Christian Honeycutt and their father, Danny Honeycutt; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, William Harry Perkins III and wife Jane. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dr. Cecil Paul Loechelt; daughter, Karla Ann Loechelt; and grandson, Dustin Paul Honeycutt. Funeral Services will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Wednesday, February 4th at 2:00pm with visitation beginning at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow at Resthaven Garden of Memory with a reception to follow at Rabenhorst Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Charles Broussard, Danny Honeycutt, Brad Broussard, Christian Honeycutt, Chad Mitchell, and Noah O'Dell.
