

Survived by her three (3) wonderful daughters who were the light of her life. Alynda Austin Booth Owen, Central, LA, Alysia Austin McFeely (Dennis), Tulsa, OK, and Alexia Austin Donaldson (Pat) Baton Rouge, LA. She was also survived by three grandchildren, Melissa Booth Bennett (Jeremy), Walker, LA, Stephanie Booth Edwards (Jeremy), Pineville, LA and Austin Simon, Houston, TX as well as two bonus grandsons and their families, Troy Donaldson (Sara) and their children Malory and Eli, League City, TX and Eric Donaldson (Jamye) and their children Tyler and Emily, Watson, LA. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Madison and Mallory Edwards, and Blaise Simon as well as a bonus great great granddaughter, Karsyn Donaldson.
Preceded in death by husband, Prentiss Freeman; former husband and friend, William C. “Billy” Austin; parents Eva and Marshall J. Dedon, numerous aunts and uncles and many wonderful friends.
She was a graduate of Istrouma High School where she participated in all music programs, a member of the Alpha Sunday School Class, adult choir and former Sunday School teacher at Florida Blvd. Baptist Church, a prayer warrior, a former member of the La Louisiane Chapter of Sweet Adelines and was employed in the insurance business for twenty one (21) years.
Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Saturday, June 13, 2020, from 1:00 PM until we celebrate her life at 2:00 PM. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. The services will be livestreamed on Greenoaks Funeral Home Facebook page.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Lake Sherwood Village Retirement Community where Mom resided for the last three (3) years and her many fabulous caregivers, most recently Sheila Warren and Kim Scott along with the staff of Audubon Hospice.
