A beloved mother and grandmother and a native of Atlanta, she died on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, at her home in Baton Rouge. She was 90. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Thursday, Dec. 21, from 9 a.m.until religious service at 10 a.m.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet Nixon Carroll and Larry Carroll of Baton Rouge; son and daughter-in-law, Ben Nixon and Linda Nixon of McMinnville, Tenn.; three grandsons, Ben Nixon III and wife Rebecca, Nathan Nixon and Joshua Nixon; three granddaughters, Carry Nixon Jones, Mary Kathryn Carroll Drago and husband Jonathan Drago, and Elizabeth Carroll; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Parker Sweetser; and beloved husband, Bulon Nixon. The family would like to express special thanks to Genita Dawson and Dorothy Long for their kind and loving care of her.
