
Today we celebrate the long and happy life of Mary Olive Delacroix Pierson Olds who went to heaven peacefully on November 11, 2015 in Baton Rouge, La. Ms. Olds was born in Baton Rouge on December 8, 1916 to the marriage of George A. Delacroix and Mary Olive Dupuy, who both predeceased Ms. Olds. Ms. Olds is survived by her four children: Barbara Craig Pierson Gauthier of Thibodaux who is married to Mike Gauthier; Clint L. Pierson, Jr. of Covington who is married to Anna Lee Marcotte Pierson; Mary Olive Pierson of Baton Rouge and George Malcolm Pierson of Baton Rouge who is married to Jan McDonald Pierson. In addition to her parents, Ms. Olds was preceded in death by her brother George A. Delacroix, Jr., her sister Edith Delacroix LeFebvre, her first husband Clint L. Pierson and her second husband Glen H. Olds, Sr. She is also survived by her Grandchildren: Mark Elliott Gauthier of Tampa, Florida and his wife Laura; Dr. Craig Michael Gauthier of New Iberia and his wife Cathy; Jill Gauthier Tullier and her husband Dr. Kemp Tullier; Susan Gauthier Falgoust of Thibodaux and her husband Woody; Melissa Pierson Recatto of Lafayette and her husband Brian; Clint Leary Pierson, III of Covington; Christopher Lewis Pierson of Covington and his wife Shannon; Bradley Michael Pierson of New Orleans and his wife Allison; and David William Pierson of Austin, Texas and his wife Jennifer, as well as her 18 grandchildren. Visitation will be at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Friday, November 13, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until Mass at 10:30 a.m. Mass will be concelebrated by Father Cleo Milano and Father Miles Walsh, who will be assisted by Deacon Chauvin Wilkinson. Pallbearers will be Clint Leary Pierson, III, Bradley Michael Pierson, Christopher Pierson, David Pierson, Mark Gauthier, Craig Gauthier Ms. Olds and her family especially give thanks to Dr. Joseph Deumite, Dr. Douglas Say, Dr. Stephen Breaud. Also we remember with gratitude Ms. Shiela Brown, Donna Bailey, Vickie Stansbury Marsha Nelson, Leroy Hill and Hospice of Baton Rouge. She asked that we recognize all of her friends and neighbors in the Hill Homeowners Association. In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions to Hospice of Baton Rouge or the charity of your choice.
