

Mary Lee Landry Pizzolato, 86, a native of Donaldsonville, resident of Baton Rouge, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 19, 2015. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister. Mary Lee was the matriarch of the Pizzolato family, owners of Tony’s Seafood and Louisiana Fish Fry Products. She was homemaker to her husband, Tony, of 50 years and 5 sons and a daughter that she adored. She rarely turned down a charity of any cause and was a professional QVC and Avon shopper. She was a devout catholic having been a lifelong member of St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church and a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Mary Lee had a huge heart, kind spirit and was often referred to as an angel on earth. She will surely have a place now to serve as our angel in Heaven. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Ceily and Brad Burkett; her five sons and daughter-in-laws, Bill and Terry Pizzolato, Joey Pizzolato and Siri Pizzolato, Mike and Stephanie Pizzolato, Cliff and Tracie Pizzolato, Tad Pizzolato and Kem Pizzolato; grandchildren Darren, Blaine, Casey, Cassie, Mike Jr., Jenny, Dane, Jayde, Heidi, Casey, Tyler, Cliff, Tony, Tad Mitchell, Brooke, and Blair; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Lauren, Grace, Jake, Max, Damon, Brandon, Brody, Mason, Gavin, Sophie, Tanner, Hayes, Lincoln, Clayte, and Collin; and sister-in-law, Marion Pizzolato. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Tony Pizzolato; grandson Joey Pizzolato Jr.; parents William and Mary Causin Landry; brother Harold Landry, sisters Rosalie Landry and husband, Phillip, and Ethel Rae “Sister” Jones and husband, Kelly; sister-in-law, Jenny “Tee” Dato and husband, Blink; and brother-in-law, Vincent Pizzolato; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Cecile Pizzolato; and nephews Mark Jones, Dale Landry and Keith Landry. Mary Lee leaves behind a devoted friend and neighbor, Mary Grace Jones. We want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to her adoring caretakers; nieces, Sherry Simoneaux and Robin Trahan; her granddaughter Casey Pizzolato; professional caretakers, Sonya Davis and Linda Thomas; thanks to the staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice especially her nurse, Sherelle Beardon and to Dr. Carl Luikart, not only her doctor, but a great family friend. Pallbearers will be her five sons and son-in-law. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church from 8 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park.
