Mary Leona Anderson Settoon

A homemaker, a native of Lucien, Miss., and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, she resided at Williamsburg Retirement Community for the past eight years. She died at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Bluebonnet at age 85. She was a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church for 48 years. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Saturday, June 19, from 11 a.m. until religious service in the chapel at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Ken Carroll. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by a daughter, Ann Settoon Abernethy; son, Malcolm Olin Settoon; sister, Betty Anderson Carter; grandchildren, Berkley Muse Wagner and husband Will, Christopher Ryan Settoon and Michael Barrett Settoon; and great-grandchildren, Anna Carson Wagner and Allie Camden Wagner. Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Durno Olin Settoon; parents, James and Florence Wooten Anderson; daughter, Florence Elaine Settoon; three brothers and six sisters.
