A homemaker and a native and resident of Baton Rouge, she died Thursday, May 3, 2007, at Sherwood Manor at the age of 88. A graveside service will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park on Friday, May 4, at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Frank Bass, under the direction of Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Fred Stuart, and Linda and Hugh McLaurin, all of Baton Rouge; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Cathy Starnes of Riverside, Calif.; two sisters, Margaret Beauchamp of Walker and Mary Louise O'Callaghan of Baker; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eddie Starnes; brother, J.M. Chustz; parents and a great-grandchild.
