
Mary Jane, an 82-year-old loving mother and dedicated wife, rejoined her husband of 50 years after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was a native of Legonier and longtime Baton Rouge resident who died on Monday, July 25, 2011, at Ollie Steele Burden Manor. Mary Jane is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Alan Schuetz; stepdaughter, Liz Caldwell; six grandchildren, Morgan and Madison Schuetz, Brandy, Michael and Brittany Thomas, and Katie Caldwell; three great-grandchildren, Beau, Blake and Trey; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwards B. "Ed" Thielman; parents, S.A. "Bruce" and Lydia Lackey Bordelon; three sisters, Pearl Plauche, Vashti Miller and Lula Bordelon; and three brothers, Bruce, Jake and John Bordelon. Mary Jane was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a retired Louisiana Department of Education employee who very much enjoyed traveling with her friends. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home chapel, 825 Government St., on Saturday, July 30, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Dr. Dick Gates. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area, 3772 North Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70806.
