Mary Theresa Knippers Ward passed away Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, at the age of 94. She was a native of Corleyville and a resident of Jena. She was a judicial administrator with the East Baton Rouge Parish Family Court. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Knippers McNamara, of Spanish Fork, Utah, and Rae Knippers Kelley, of Slidell; a son, Eddie W. Knippers Sr., of Baton Rouge; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde L. Ward; her parents, Eddie P. and Lina Wagley Cobb; a brother, Ray Cobb; and sisters, Lucille Cobb and Marie Cobb Muse. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd,. Tuesday, Dec. 20, from noon until services at 1 p.m., conducted by Bishop Michael Dohm. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at Carter Plantation Cemetery in Springfield. Pallbearers will be Patrick Kelley, Will Knippers III, Will Knippers II, Logan Lato, Tim Lato and Mike McNamara.
