
Services for Mary Clydia Weldon 90 years old are scheduled for 10:30am, Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East with Rev. Gerald Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Garden of Memories. Mrs. Weldon died Monday, March 12, 2012 at Nottingham Regional Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 28, 1921 in Pointe Coupee Parish and lived in Baton Rouge most of her life. A wife, mother and Maw Maw, Clydia will be missed, but not forgotten by friends and loved ones. Clydia was a homemaker, taught Sunday school to children at Winbourne Ave Baptist Church and adult Sunday school at Oakcrest Baptist Church, a good cook, wonderful seamstress and softball Team Mother. Survivors include daughters; Mary Kay Herrin and husband Billy, Andra Lee Rice, sister; Elsie Shirley Childress and husband Charles, grandchildren; William Wade Herrin, Jill Renee Herrin, Wendy Leigh Gaddis and husband Don, Kevin Karl Rice and Terry Kay Rice, great grand children, nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She is welcomed into heaven by her loving Savior and her family who preceded her in death: her parents, Ada and Joseph Charie Bonaventure; her husband William Fisher, and one grandchild; David Darin Herrin. Family will receive friends from 9:00am, Wednesday at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East. If desired, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Services of Baton Rouge.
