A resident of Baton Rouge passed away Monday, November 11, 2013. Reese was a loving son and an extremely talented and generous person. He was a 1970 graduate of Istrouma High School and an Army veteran who served his country with honor during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his parents, Pete Meliet and Laura Belle Walker; sister, Tara Meliet Sager and husband, Mike; special uncle and aunts, Frank Walker and wife, Bobbie, Patsy Walker Thomas; a special cousin who was as close as a brother, Larry Thomas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rene and Bertha Meliet and maternal grandparents, Burkie and Marion Walker. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, November 14, 2013, from 1 PM until the memorial service at 2 PM. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
