Mrs. Medora Cecilia (Cecil) Zietz passed away on September 2, 2021 at the age of 91. She was known to her grandchildren and great grandchildren as CeeCee. She loved spending time on Pensacola Beach with her family, attending her grandchildren’s sports events, playing bridge with her friends, and volunteering at Woman’s Hospital for many years. CeeCee will be forever in our hearts. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Jane Horejsi and husband Guy; sons, Joseph Zietz III, James Zietz and wife Reni, and David Zietz; grandchildren, Lauren Hidalgo, Ross Zietz and wife Anna, and Miles Zietz; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jonah Hidalgo, and Arlo Zietz; and sisters, Dorothy Dorvin, Anne Ward and Mary Jane Raymond. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Joseph R. Zietz Jr.; parents, William M. and Frances E. Watkins, sister, Frances Watkins, brother, Dr. William Watkins Jr. and daughter-in-law, Carrie S. Zietz. There will be a private memorial held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Mrs. Zietz’s name to St. Aloysius Catholic Church (www.aloysius.org).
