

Michael Caillais, a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Saturday March 16, 2013 at the age of 58. He worked as a supervisor for Stupp Corp for many years and recently worked for Tony’s seafood and Louisiana Fish Fry. Michael was a graduate of Redemptorist High School where he was a star athlete, a quarterback and a pitcher. He had a love for gardening, a passion for cooking, was an avid LSU fan, and especially adored his granddaughter. Michael was a family man, whose whole life revolved around taking care and providing for the ones he loved and anyone in need. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all that knew him. Michael is survived by his daughter, Kristen Caillais and her spouse Ricky Cannon; granddaughter, Kendall Cannon; sister, Elaine Belle; two nieces, Tuesdai Miller and husband Jeff, and Tamron Allen and husband Kirt; and extended family, Eman and Dianne Caillais Podgorny, Monica Blair, Barry and Ruth Waller, Dawn Berry and husband Brent, Michelle Sonnier and husband Tim, and Sue Pope. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Gloria Caillais. Visitation will be held on Friday March 22, 2013 at Greenoaks Funeral Home from 5pm until 9pm and resume Saaturday March 23, 2013 from 10am until funeral service at 12pm. Pallbearers will be Rick Dayries, Cliff Pizzolato, Tad Pizzlato, Ricky Cannon, Juan Martinez, and Steve Landry. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
