
The name Michael means who is like the Lord. "They that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles." Isaiah 40:31. Michael "Mickey" Joseph Fazio came into this world on March 10, 1988, the son of Frank L. Fazio and Monica James Fazio. Our beloved son was called to our heavenly Father on Monday, July 5, 2010. He lived to love and serve others and was the finest son and brother any family could desire. Michael was a student in construction management at Baton Rouge Community College and loved the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, water sports and soccer were his passions, and he excelled at all. His wonderful, kind and caring words to everyone, and his culinary and building abilities were admired by all and made many loyal friends for him. After graduating from St. Aloysius School, he attended Catholic High School and Christian Life Academy. He was a social member of Theta Xi fraternity at LSU, and loved cooking for and serving his brothers. He is survived by his parents, Frank Louis Fazio Sr. and Monica James Fazio; siblings, Frank Louis Fazio Jr., Victoria Ann "Torie" Fazio, Caroline Grace Fazio and James Gregory Fazio; maternal grandmother, Nonie James; uncle and aunt, Mike and Melissa James; and cousins, Sarah Meagan James and Michael Ryan James. Preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Lucille Fazio; and maternal grandfather, Marvin James Jr. Visitation at St. Aloysius Catholic Church on Thursday, July 8, from 11 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m., concelebrated by the Rev. Greg Daigle and the Rev. Gerald Burns. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Gerry Barber, John Beieler, Jeff Chicola, Mike James, Larry Johnson, Walter Morales, S.J.
