Michael “Mike” Lawrence Lovelace Sr. passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the age of 72. He was born on November 22, 1953, in Hastings, NE, and was a resident of Central, LA, for over 40 years.
Mike retired from SGS and worked as a contractor for Westlake Plaquemine for 50+ years
Mike is survived by his wife, Kathy Brown Lovelace; son, Michael Lovelace Jr. and his wife, Jennifer; daughter, Lauren Lovelace; grandchildren, Rylee, Jack, and Reed Lovelace; brother, Dr. Bruce Lovelace, III; and sister, Dr. Terry Curtis.
He is preceded in death by his son, Ryan Lovelace; parents, Bruce M. Lovelace, Jr. and Margaret Myers Lovelace; sisters, Patty Hodges and Susan Gerrish; nephew, Jeremiah Johnston; parents-in-law, Joseph and Dorothy Brown; and brothers-in-law, Cecil Brown and David Brown.
Mike was in the care of Greenoaks Funeral Home.
