
Michael Lee Swilley passed away August 2, 2013. Michael was born in Gainesville, FL on December 25, 1976. Michael had a passion for old cars, fast cars, traveling, fishing, history and turning trash into treasure. He loved his family. Michael was a warm, kind hearted man who would always help someone out. He was an employee at Pentair Valve and Controls. He is survived by his wife, Kelly Messer Swilley; his father, James Swilley; two brothers Jamie and girlfriend Amanda Hilgendof; his "Irish-twin" Kevin and wife Keri; two sisters Stephanie Turner and husband Kevin; Polly Swilley and husband Alan; father and mother-in-law, Rodney and Bonnie Messer; three brother-in-laws Rhett Messer and wife Kainna; Stewart Messer and wife Laura; Ross Messer. He also leaves behind twelve nieces and nephews who were the light of his life Ryan, Ethan, Mileigh, Makenzi, Samantha, Skylar, Sabastian, Jessica, Kristina, Alan, Riley, Kale, Easton, Charleigh and Presley. Uncle Michael loved his nieces and nephews with all his heart. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins and his best friends, dogs Daisy, Sookie, Abe and Snowie. He is preceeded in death by his mother, Thelma Swilley; sister Sherry and nephews, Josh and Sean; and "his baby boy", dog Toby. Pallbearers will be Rodney Messer, Rhett Messer, Stewart Messer, Ross Messer, Brian Whiddon and Joe Whiddon. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Thursday, Aug. 8, from 8 a.m. until services at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
