Mildred Dykes Carney passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the age of 71. She was a member of the Eastern Star and was a very crafty woman who loved sewing. Mildred was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who is survived by her sons, Clayton A. Carney, Jr. and wife Terri and Victor N. Carney and wife Severine; grandchildren, Ian Clayton, Eric Michael, Ethan Sean, Lucas, Tyler Julie, and Noah Carney; sister, Claire Proffitt; brothers, Willie Dykes and Hugh Dykes, Jr. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clayton A. Carney and her parents, Hugh and Mildred Dykes. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 5pm-9pm and will resume on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 12pm until funeral service beginning at 2pm.
