A native of Baton Rouge, LA, she passed away on January 31, 2018 at the young age of 94. Surviving relatives include two daughters, Connie Summers and husband Donnie, and Karen Franks, a sister, Tavia, three grandsons, Mike Stephenson and wife Carrie, Kyle LeMoine and wife Mary, and Blake LeMoine and wife Shea, five great grandchildren, Madison, Cassidy, Jett, Blakely and Aspen, and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill, two sisters, Doris and Justine, and a brother, Joseph. Mildred's joy of life was unmatched, as she and Bill spent many years traveling. She also enjoyed cooking and going to the casino with her life-long friend, Lura Sharp, until she was 93. I would like to especially thank Ascension Oaks Nursing Home and its staff, especially Annette, who took exceptional care of her for the last five months until she passed away peacefully and went home to God.
