

Mildred (Midge) Anne Moras Sutherland, age 86, died Thursday, February 1, 2018 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, surrounded by family. She was born in Alexandria, La. and resident of Baton Rouge since 1965.
Midge was a parishioner at St. Thomas More Catholic Church and was heavily involved in volunteer work. She was a beautiful, charismatic, smart, strong-willed, woman, wife, mother, and grandmother loved by many. Midge worked in the banking industry for 21 years. A pioneer of Mary Kay Cosmetics for 32 years. She was a member of Woman’s Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers from 1990 to 2010, a volunteer at Capital Nursing Home, and a member of the Council on Aging R.S.V.P since 2000. Survived by 2 sons and daughter-in-law Fred Sutherland, Jr. and wife Melodie, and Greg Sutherland of Baton Rouge. 2 daughters and son-in-law Stephanie Sutherland, Cary N.C., and Suzanne Sutherland Brown and husband Milton of Baton Rouge. 5 grandchildren Brigette Sutherland Winkles and husband Nathan of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Meghan Sutherland and finance Austin Conrad, and Fred Sutherland, III of Baton Rouge. Stephen and Nicholas Sutherland of Virginia Beach. Sister-in-law Ardyn Sutherland Thriffiley of New Orleans. Preceded in death by husband, Fred L. Sutherland, Sr., son Stephen Sutherland, parents Curtis and Zelda Moras of Alexandria, sister Doris Moras Wilson of New Orleans, and brother Kirby Moras Sr. of Alexandria. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 5 pm - 8 pm with a Rosary to be said at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will resume at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 9 am – 10:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Thomas More Catholic Church at 11 am. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Pineville, La.
