A retired Exxon Co. USA employee, she died at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. Born in Dayton, Texas, and a lifetime resident of Baton Rouge, she was 84. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Tuesday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m. until chapel service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Charles Watson. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. She is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Watson Stevens; eight nieces and nephews, Charles and Thomas Watson, Roland Jr., Michael and William "Billy" Stevens, D'Ann W. Breeden, Ann S. Campbell and Jane S. Hoyt. She was preceded in death by his parents, Arch M. and Blanche Newman Watson; and two brothers, Archie J. and Hugh Watson. Mildred was a world traveler who loved animals and contributed to many charities. She graduated from Istrouma High School and attended Baton Rouge Business College and LSU. She was a member and regional director of Toastmasters. She was also a member of Colonial Study Club and Syn Club of Baton Rouge. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years at Istrouma and Goodwood Baptist churches.
