She died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, 2010, at Landmark of Baton Rouge. She was 87 and a resident and native of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Saturday, Jan. 23, from 1 p.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by Brother Huey Moak and Yancy Wilmot. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Survived by a daughter, Margaret M. Wilmot; son, Robert H. "Bobby" Wilmot III and wife Maxi Watson Wilmot; sister, Evelyn Joyce Felps; grandchildren, Yancy Wilmot and Carley Day Wilmot, Brandy Rae Blue and Holly Wilmot Mauer and fiancé Brett Alello; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Max Grabert, Christopher, Cameron and Carter Mauer and Cort and Allie Wilmot; nephews, Dale Devall, Mike Felps and Cass Felps; and niece, Vickie Devall Lafleur. Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert H. "Bob" Wilmot Jr.; a sister, Ruby F. Devall; brother, William "Bill" Felps; son, Steven Gerald Wilmot; and parents, Willie A. Felps and Lula Lea Felps. Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a high school graduate.
