Miles Ralph Newell, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the age of 83. He was born on July 4, 1940, in Centreville, MS, and was a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. He is survived by his children, Todd Anderson Newell (Scarlett) and Criste Newell Carnegie; grandchildren, Tyler Newell, Kristyn Berry (Cody), and Jay Carnegie (Anna); and great-grandchildren, Gabe, Annie, James Russell, Emmie, Millie, and two more on the way. Ralph is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Sandra Heyl Newell; and parents, Miles Ralph Newell, Sr. and Jose Conerly Newell. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Monday, August 14, 2023, from 9:30am until the time of funeral services at 11am.
