A retired employee of Ethyl Corp. and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died Saturday, March 24, 2007. He was 88, a U.S. Army veteran and a native of New Roads. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., was on Sunday, March 25, from 4 p.m.to 8 p.m.Visiting at St. George Catholic Church on Monday, March 26, from 9:30 a.m.until religious service at 10:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Mike Schatzle. Interment inSt.GeorgeCemetery. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Earl Yancey and Sidonie and Bobby Trahan; four grandchildren, Jennifer Yancey Steady and husband Glendon, Chris Yancey and wife Pam, Katie Trahan and Brenton Trahan; and a great-grandson, Yancey Steady. Preceded in death by his wife, Edwina Works Soulier; parents, John William and Sidonie Webre Soulier; five sisters, Edna S. Warren, Blanche Soulier, Virginia Phillips, Camille S. Goodwill and Sidonie Burns; and four brothers, Joe, Oscar, Bill and Fred. Pallbearers will be Earl and Chris Yancey, Bobby and Brenton Trahan, Billy Soulier, Glendon Steady and Brad Vavasseur.
