Mona Gayle Branum

Mona Gayle Branum passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017, at the age of 81. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was an inspiration to all. She was a member of Zoar Baptist Church and Myrtle-Celeste Chapter O.E.S. No. 231. Mona is survived by daughters, Melinda Farrister and husband, David, and Kahne Guillot and husband, Kim; son, Jay Branum and wife, Kim; grandchildren, Amy Sepulveda and husband, Johaan, David P. Farrister, Jr., Jamie Gulliot, Tyler Gulliot and wife, Kelly, Courtney Mikeska and husband, Andrew, and Beau Branum; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Drew, Zoe, Rylee, Drew and Cash. Mona is preceded in death by her husband, James W. Branum, II; her parents, Marvin M. Long and Irma Bernice Long; brothers, M.B., Calvin, Derle Gene Long; sister, Gloria Williams. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on Friday, August 25, 2017, from 9:00AM until the time of funeral service at 12:00PM.
