

Monica Lynne Thibodeaux was born on October 10, 1955, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and spent most of her life in Zachary, Louisiana. She passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the age of 69. She was devoted to her family and friends. She was a person of immense love, kindness, and generosity. Her loss is as immeasurable as the love, compassion, and devotion she leaves behind. Monica graduated from Zachary High School and attended Louisiana State University. While attending college, she worked as an advertising manager for the campus newspaper, The Daily Reveille. While attending LSU, Monica became involved in the direct voter contact industry for State and National political concerns. She left college to pursue this passion, which required her to travel extensively across the country. Several years later, she returned to her hometown of Zachary, and began working for the Louisiana State Senate. Monica was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph L. and Beatrice Marie LeBlanc Thibodeaux, and by her brothers, Gerard Joseph Thibodeaux and John Glenn Thibodeaux. She is survived by her brother, Eugene L. Thibodeaux, II, and his wife, Cynthia Watson Thibodeaux, and three nephews, Eugene L. “Trey” Thibodeaux, III (wife Yenjit Raruang Thibodeaux), Jacob L. Thibodeaux, and Benjamin J. Thibodeaux. She will be missed by many surviving friends and extended family members, especially those in the Ourso and LeBlanc families. The family would like to thank the Landmark Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center staff, nurses, and doctors for their professional care and concern. Also, special thanks and gratitude to her lifelong friend Beverly Cambre Shaw.
A memorial gathering will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, January 9, 2025 from 12 pm until time of memorial service at 2 pm.
