Myron Edward "Ned" Hissong, died Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Baton Rouge General Hospital on Bluebonnet. He was 76 years old, a native of Ohio, and a resident of Bayou Pigeon. He was a retired Certified Financial Examiner. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carol Ann Brown Hissong, and children Jennifer Thigpen, Jay Hissong, Susan Thompson, and Mike Hooper. He was also blessed with 12 grandchildren, Myron "Alex" Beach, Brendan Edward Beach, Nathan James Hissong, Scott Thompson, Danielle Thompson, Tyler Thompson, Deanna Thompson, Stephen Thompson, Jonathan Hooper, Jessica Hooper, Amanda Hooper, and David Hooper. Visiting will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Greenoaks Funeral Home at 9595 Florida Blvd. Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday May 14, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church. Interment to follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
