She was a native of Centreville, Mississippi and a resident of Greenwell Springs. Myrtle died at 12:00pm Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at St. James Place Nursing Care Center. She was 87. Visitation will be held Saturday at Zoar Baptist Church from 9:00am until the religious service at 11:00am, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Kevin Hand. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Myrtle is survived by her two sons: Randy Taylor&wife Bea, and David Taylor&wife Julie; grandchildren: Jennifer Chick, Chad Taylor, Jesse Taylor and Melinda Taylor; 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Norman Taylor; her parents: Lee&Bessie Barker McKey; sister: Helen Crow; brother: Earl Lee McKey. Pallbearers will be Chad Taylor, Jesse Taylor, Ruark Chick, Michael Crow, Robby Angelloz and Beau Haydel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cardinal Hospice.
