Nancy Harris Denicola

Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she last worked at Marquette Avenue Daycare where she was known as the " Granny" to all children She was a resident of Denham Springs, and a native of Sweetwater, Texas. She passed away Tuesday October 1, 2013. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd. on Friday October 4, 2013 at 9am until the service at 2pm. Service will be conducted by Rev. Frank M. Uter, interment to follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Nancy is survived by two daughters Vickie Christ, and husband John Sr., of Denham Springs, and Suzanne Ponder and husband Donald Sr., of Baton Rouge. She is survived by five sisters Janie Fontenot, Nina Kimble, Nettie Sanders, Ruth Keating and Linda Downs, two brothers Jasper Harris, and Chester Harris Jr. She had six grandchildren Taylor Christ Doucet, Ashley Ponder Foy, John Christ II, Holly Ponder Smith, Madison Christ, and Donald (DJ) Ponder Jr., five great-grandchildren Hudson Foy, Mason and Lauren Doucet, Ellie Rose Smith, and John Nathan Christ III. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband Lt. Jasper Denicola, father Chester T. Harris, mother Ozy Price Harris, three sisters Peggy Butler, Niva Harris, and Nova Jones, brother James Harris.
