Nancy Sevier Evans

A long time resident of Baton Rouge and native of Picayune, MS died in Baton Rouge at the age of 82 on Thursday, March 7, 2013. She was an employee of Georgia Pacific in Port Hudson for 23 years until her retirement in 1996. She loved working in the lab and the people she worked with. She was a beloved mother, sister and friend. Nancy loved her children with a maternal fierceness and pride. But, her "kids" also included her circle of friends and a little Scottie dog named Kelsey. Nancy is survived by her daughters, Erin K. Evans and Laura Webb; son, Jack W. Evans, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Lorie S. Evans. She is also survived by a myriad of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Salome; two brothers, John and Richard; and a sister, Patricia.
