

Nathalie "Nap" Thibeau Serrett, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Monday, May 9, 2011, at age 91. She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Stanley Serrett; two daughters and son-in-law, Marlene LeMieux and Donnis and Stephan Francois; two sons and daughter-in-law, George Serrett and Randy and Nancy Serrett; two sisters, Bobbie Pierce and Evelyn Schoonmaker; grandchildren Colette L. and husband Matt Franichevich, Danielle L. and husband Brian Blackwood, Chip and wife Tracy LeMieux, Katie S. and husband Antonio Perez, Austin Serrett and Charlie Francois; and five great-grandchildren, Masson LeMieux, Justine LeMieux, Molly Franichevich, Andrew Blackwood and Madeline Blackwood; and a great-great-grandchild, Audrey LeMieux. She was preceded in death by her parents, James B. and Arvilla Nickens Thibeau; brother, G.L. Thibeau; sister, Neavie Nelson; and son-in-law, Fred M. LeMieux. She loved to garden and travel. She was a longtime member of Florida Boulevard Baptist Church. The family wishes to thank the staff at Life Source Hospice and her caregivers. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, May 11, was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation at the funeral home will resume Thursday from 8 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
