Neal J. Bridges

"A native of New Orleans, LA and a long-term resident of Killian, LA, Neal passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the age of 70. A 1968 graduate of Southeastern University, he was a retired regional engineer for Travelers Insurance Company. He loved traveling, boating, fishing, chess, nature, spending time with his children and grandchildren, horseback riding, and photography. Neal was an amazing conversationalist, philosopher, and had a witty sense of humor. He is greatly and loved and will be dearly missed. Neal is survived by his daughters Nicole Morrow (husband Craig) of Opelousas, LA, Holly Moreau (husband Matthew) of Baton Rouge; grandchildren Courtney Morrow, Tyler Morrow, Madison Moreau, Savannah Morrow, Londyn Moreau, Blair Morrow, and Ainsley Moreau; siblings, Sam Bridges, Dollie Wortmann, and Bridget Watkins-Wallace; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents O.C. Bridges and Elaine Bridges; siblings, Bubbie Bridges, Don Bridges, Nancy Bridges, and Danny Bridges; and brother-in-law Lonnie Watkins II. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home (825 Government Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802) from 9:15 am until the Funeral Service at 11:15 am officiated by Fr. Joshua Johnson. Entombment will be at Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in Neal's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or masses may be offered.
